The Adelaide Showground is located on the south-west corner of the heritage-listed Adelaide Park lands – a five-minute drive from the Adelaide CBD.

The Adelaide Showground is owned by one of South Australia’s most reputable and historic organisations, the Royal Agricultural & Horticultural Society (RA&HS) of South Australia. Established in 1839, the RA&HS contributes to the success and promotion of primary industry through the staging of events and the rewarding of excellence. It also owns and operates South Australia’s most popular public event, the Royal Adelaide Show, and the prestigious Royal Adelaide Wine Show.

A commitment to the Environment

Protecting and preserving our environment is also a strong focus at the Adelaide Showground. Following the development of the eco-friendly Goyder Pavilion in 2008, the venue is on-track to becoming energy and water neutral. In fact, the Adelaide Showground is home to one of the largest solar panel installations in Australia and a 3.5-million litre underground water tank which captures stormwater run-off.
